The manuscript hosts numerous ornamental bands (ḥaräg) in black and red ink and decorated with geometrical motifs, crosses, human faces and birds (e.g., ff. 4r, 11r, 18v, 27r, 38r, 46r, 52r, 60v, 72r, 99v, 100r, 114v). Most of them are used to separate groups of ten psalms. |

Provenance and history |
Unknown provenance. According to the ownership note written in the main hand on f. 168va, the original owner was Wäldä Gäbrǝʾel and the scribe was Kǝflä Giyorgis. The name of Wäldä Gäbrǝʾel is also mentioned in the supplication formulas on ff. 149v, 150ra, 159va, together with that of a certain Śahlä Śǝllase. |
